Most people will think that money is the direct result of years of working hard and attentive saving. This is a delusion. Statistics indicate that the largest percentage of men and women in the United States, after spending the main part of their lives in work they generally don’t even get pleasure from, end up barely able to survive on social security and a small pension, if they have one at all. Reprogramming your ideas about money will attract it to you considerably more quickly than working a twelve-hour day and faithfully saving every pennie. The road to money is paved with powerful, confident ideas, held consistently in the mind, eventually attracting an abundance of wealth into your daily life. Accumulating wealth is caused by an attitude, and not the result of hard labor; thus switching your attitude is key to becoming prosperous. Your inner feeling about money determines whether or not you’ll have it, because that to which you give your attention is what manifests in your life. If you happen to focus attention on the lack of money as well as the fear of poverty, that’s what’s reinforced and becomes a reality for you. All individual wealth is created by way of the human mind and those who believe they deserve to be wealthy can create it. Don’t fall under the limiting attitude of resenting wealthy people, anyone who has accumulated considerably more than their share. Should you resent successful people you’ll find yourself resenting yourself as you earn money. Focus on the positive; try to remember that money you earn goes back in to the economy to be distributed to others, which helps prosper everyone you buy from or give money to. Before you can become rich, you must feel that you deserve it. You will never convince your subconscious mind to bring you money if you have been programmed to the thought that you don’t deserve it. Sometimes it’s not a fearfulness of achieving success but a fright of failing that inhibits people from becoming rich. A person can be going along well, acquiring money, and then begins to worry too much; “I’m making a living now, but how long can it last? Suppose I lost it all?” and so forth. It’s essential to constantly combat those detrimental ideas with favorable statements and affirmations such as “I deserve to be well-off.” Whenever you get these thoughts firmly implanted inside your consciousness, you have taken a giant step towards acquiring abundance. An affirmation is a strong, constructive statement about something you want to manifest in your own life. To affirm means to make something firm; thus, by stating your main goal in a exact way, you’re making it more firm to your subconscious mind. Affirmations are positive signals you send to your brain anytime you say them, so that through the law of attraction and vibration, your subconscious can start working to provide whatever you want. Writing down affirmations is an extremely successful technique for reaching deeply within the subconscious, and is the fastest way to incorporate these ideas into your consciousness. It is much more effective than simply stating your desired goals. Some of the most remarkable changes occur through implementing affirmations. The majority are not successful using affirmations because they already have a great number of detrimental ideas about themselves hard-wired in their subconscious minds that the favourable affirmations cannot defeat them. This “poverty consciousness”, which may have been along with you your complete life, will dominate if you do not remove all skepticism so prosperity consciousness can get a strong foothold. Easy methods to make this happen will be to make a note of your positive affirmations, and, when you’re doing it, listen carefully to your body and your inner feelings for the harmful thoughts that negate your affirmation. Write these down, too; then immediately refute them by recording a contrary response. Proceed like this until you can write the positive affirmation without getting any flak from the mind negating it. It’s wise to create your affirmations in three persons and always include your own name. Writing it in three persons gets the effect of letting your subconscious mind to think others also believe you deserve to be well-off. For example: I, [name], deserve to be rich and prosperous, which is coming true for me now. You, [name], deserve to be rich and prosperous, which is coming true for you now. She,[name], deserve to be rich and prosperous, which is coming true for her now. I suggest you write a page of affirmations everyday. Don’t just do it by rote, but really give thought to and visualize in your minds eye the meaning of the words and phrases you are writing. It’s essential to learn to think prosperity frequently and hold steadily to constructive thought. It takes consistent vigilance to gain supremacy on the unruly mind. The person who will repeat this regularly is guaranteed of fantastic results in every area of life.
