Creative Writing Software – Use These Software Programs to Write Your Novel

You have no doubt heard of all the creative writing software programs that are on the market. They are still considered new although they have been around for a number of years. If you have not tried one, now is the time to jump in and give them a whirl. It is not just hype — these novel writing programs really work!I actually heard about novel writing software years ago and have tried a good number of them in that time. My current favorite remains StoryCraft but there are plenty out there to sample. Some are better than others, but all are fun to work with. Why use creative writing software at all? I mean, what is wrong with just sitting down with a blank screen in front of you and typing away? Nothing at all, actually. I’ve done it plenty of times and have finished manuscripts just fine like that. But sometimes I like the convenience of one of these programs as it does make the writing easier, especially if you are stuck. And who doesn’t get stuck once in a while? There is software to help you get over writer’s block, develop characters, name characters, outline your novel, and come up with a plot line, and then there are some that are simply fiction-writing tutorials (those are great). Of course that just tips the iceberg, there are many other ways to use and abuse novel writer software. I often fire up one of my programs when I feel a little blocked. It never fails to get me writing away.Another benefit is they organize everything for you and believe me, I need help with that. I also like the way they assist with plot development as I sometimes tend to paint myself into a corner otherwise. Also, it is almost as if you have a helper with you, i.e. someone you can stop and ask for their expertise if you find yourself at an impasse. Now, before you get too excited, these computer programs will not do all the work for you, nor will they write your book for you from cover to cover. But using them sure makes life easier sometimes. Some people are a bit resistant to them for fear of the difficulty level, but most have great tutorials and you will be off and writing your novel soon after firing up the software. So put your computer to use and turn it into a writing coach, and say good-bye to nonproductive writing days. Whichever novel writing program you choose, I know it will help you get your book written much faster and easier than ever before.
